More than 10,000 people gathered in Anaheim, California, from June 10-13 for the 143rd Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE24) of the American Water Works Association, themed "Transforming the Future of Water." The event includes 18 professional tracks, 190 sessions, and 719 presentations on topics such as water treatment advances, PFAS, water quality, resources planning, regulatory issues, and workforce transformation. Additionally, the exposition featured over 440 exhibitors and 1,090 booths, with an Innovation Hub for emerging technologies.

ACE24 commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Safe Drinking Water Act, celebrating advancements in public health protection and ongoing challenges. The AWWA, in its Water 2050 initiative, emphasizes sustainability with new measures like a carbon offset program for travel, recycled conference bags, and donations of exhibit materials to local communities.
